
Coaching with your brain in mind

How do you think? How does that influence your decisions? Are you processing information in a way that is natural and easy for you? ADHD and other Neurodivergent types need coaching that is about them.
If you aren’t operating from a natural state, I suspect you’re coping. I know I do fine and am adaptable and I can operate and compensate until I’m under stress–but going against MY grain is exhausting. It’s also demoralizing and confusing! Eventually, my brain gives up in exhaustion. By the time I want to throw up my hands in frustration and confusion logic doesn’t help, and then I realize it’s time to change gears.
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole.
Coaches work with people who want support in their jobs, their projects, or their personal development. I work with individuals who are looking for a better way to get things done. A coaching partnership offers a confidential space to explore ideas, problem-solve, and establish a realistic, clear plan of action to reach desired outcomes.

The Foundation Session $250
This is a 1.5 to 2 hour session that will cover some basic education relevant to each client’s situation, often to include some ADHD education, Tiny Habits Methodology, Gallup Strengths Finder as well as a discussion of issues discussed in consult call and surfaced in paperwork. This will also provide the basics for initial direction of coaching. A short document will be generated summarizing this and initial topics and resources for coaching sessions.
Monthly Coaching $500
This consists of approximately weekly calls of 45 minutes, with the possibility of running over, if both parties are amiable. (sometimes we’re in the middle of a discussion and it makes sense to keep going). This covers 3-5 calls per month and is a flat rate.
Sessions usually begin with a recap from the last week, checking on steps outline at the prior meeting, identifying what worked, what didn’t and why. The bulk of the call is either digging into a new issue or continuing to refine and create next steps an issue from the week(s) before.
Coaching is paid a month in advance. I typically ask for a 3 month commitment in order to build momentum and stability into your new routines.
